Inspired by the sumptuous visuals and drawing devices of Peter Greenway's classic 1982 film; The Draughtsman's Contract, this unique experience includes:
Warm-up exercises designed to break guests out of your artistic inhibitions, habits and pre-conceptions.
Technical exercises to sharpen your perceptions and accuracy.
Composition development using Wolterton Hall, its views, architecture and objects, as well as life-drawing 'living statues' models on location.
One-to-one tuition and mentoring with group discussions, aimed at fostering an unselfconscious curiosity and pleasure in experiment.
Suitable for all levels, guests will find plenty to stretch and challenge all aspects of their drawing practice using the architecture, views and landscape of beautiful Wolterton Hall as inspiration.
Wolterton Park is the perfect setting, providing peace and tranquillity and over 500 acres of stunning parkland and gardens, including East Anglia's largest walled garden.
Guests will stay in Wolterton Hall's spectacular East Wing – a grade I listed building designed by John Stanley Repton, son of Humphrey. And the three-night inclusive package includes arts tuition and mentoring, luxury accommodation plus home cooked meals for £800 per person.
