Guests can visit pretty market town Ludlow to explore the famous Food Centre and pick exciting ingredients to prepare a sumptuous menu back at the hotel for dinner that evening.  Of course, guests will have the opportunity to partake in the 3-courses dinner, along with other like-minded souls!

Fishmore Hall is a stylish country house hotel located in one of the most unspoilt counties in England. Guests that book the Shop and Cook package will be invited into the kitchen of talented Head Chef, Andrew Birch, to create delicious delicacies.  The dinner will be taken in the Forelles restaurant that has recently been re-awarded the prestigious accolade of 3AA Rosettes.

Originally from Swansea, Wales, Andrew Birch has previously been awarded Welsh Chef of the Year in 2004, Young Chef Apprentice of Britain in 2005, Young Chef Apprentice of Europe in 2005, and was a finalist in the Roux Regional Scholarship in 2006.  There is no doubt that with Andrew’s expert guidance many invaluable cooking tips will be gleaned!

Foodie heaven format:


10am to 12noon - Shopping with chef - a tour of the local cheese shop, Ludlow Food Centre and a few of the local suppliers' stores.


12noon to 1pm - Explore Ludlow.  Try out the local beer in the Church Inn, or wander around the delis and independently run shops.


(Return for a light lunch at the hotel, saving your appetite for later on!)


2pm to 5pm - Cooking with the chef. For the brave, some plucking outdoors, butchery, bake some cheese crackers, prepare some canapés and use the other ingredients purchased through the morning to create your evening meal:
