'A Buddhist Blessing of Love' experience for couples at The Sarojin in Thailand
With the most well-known romantic day in the calendar fast approaching, why not take yourself and a loved one away to The Sarojin, a luxury boutique five-star resort in Khao Lak, Thailand.
A new package is on offer named ‘A Buddhist Blessing of Love’ and it aims to encourage couples to experience traditional Thai customs. For romantic souls there is the opportunity to receive a spiritual blessing from a Buddhist monk, surrounded by the beautiful sounds of Buddhist chants.
The experience begins after breakfast with a journey to give alms to local monks as they leave their temples to walk through the local town. The Buddhist ritual begins with couples being encouraged to offer a small gift to the monks which signals a sign of respect. The head monk will then convey his appreciation via a blessing as he trickles holy water over the couple while chanting Pali-Sanskirt ‘mantras’.
This is a very spiritual, simple ceremony and can be used to signify a loving relationship, marriage or a special holiday with a partner. A choice of two gourmet restaurants is available with a fabulous choice of menus.
If you fancy a dip, the marvellous infinity-edged swimming pool will not disappoint romantic couples. Or you may wish to indulge in a treatment at the multi-award winning spa located on the resort.
The ‘A Buddhist Blessing of Love’ package offers rooms starting from THB 6,325 (approximately GBP 116), inclusive of accommodation in a luxury Garden Residence, plus all-day à la carte breakfast with sparkling wine for two people.
The Sarojin is just a 55 minute drive north of Phuket Airport. There are 56 delux rooms which are located within 10 acres of pretty grounds which lead onto the beachfront. Each residence features its own pretty garden and sundeck, couples’ baths with waterfall showers, and plunge and relaxation pools.
