Zetland Arms at Kingsdown Copyright Visit Kent

We have some fantastic events taking place throughout the summer!

Why not head to the medieval town of Sandwich for an extravaganza of free entertainment, with an Italian market, carnival parade and evening picnic concert on the Quay Green at the Sandwich Festival. Or you can discover medieval life in the living history encampments and watch an epic tournament display as four Knights of the Kingdom do battle at The Joust – Battle for Good at Dover Castle.

If you like golf – don’t miss The Open which once again returns to Royal St George’s in Sandwich in July 2020!

Just outside of Deal, you can sit back and watch as the skies are filled with colourful shapes and creations at the Wind Festival at Betteshanger Park. But one of our unmissable events is the annual, week-long  White Cliffs Walking Festival, which focuses on the towns of Dover, Deal and Sandwich with over 40 walks ranging from 1 to 50 miles.

White Cliffs Country is the perfect place for walking and cycling.  There are miles of routes and trails to choose from with great views of our unspoilt, open countryside – some with unrivalled sea views on top of the famous White Cliffs of Dover.

There’s a great day out for all the family, with everything from amazing castles and museums to wildlife parks and exhilarating RIB speed boat.

Why not find out more!
