Dingle is the place to be at this year's Peninsula Food & Wine Festival from 3rd to 5th October 2014
The Pentathlon will be an exciting event with students from culinary schools throughout Ireland racing through the town, on foot and by bicycle, picking up a mystery basket of food goodies on route. At the end of the race, participants will be in competition with each other to cook up a 2-course lunch which judges may love or hate. This is sure to be a heated competition!
With fantastic cookery demonstrations from local and national chefs, food art, beer and wine tastings and workshops, the Festival will be a worthwhile event. Loads of fabulous children’s activities will be on offer, including falconry, puppet shows, fun storytelling, honey, chocolate and bee keeping demonstrations.
Naturally, lots of tastings will be available in the never-ending food and wine market running through the streets of Dingle and you will have the opportunity to buy these offerings if you so wish.
Why not buy a ‘Taste Trail’ ticket where visitors can sample delicious offerings in over 80 venues from pubs to galleries, to shops and restaurants. Better still; the Festival will be accompanied by live bands to keep visitors in good spirits throughout the event.
Taste Trail tickets cost €22. Each book contains 10 tickets.
