Guernsey is home to a wealth of entrepreneurs who have crafted and created their own unique variations of local products. The newly launched Eat Drink & Be LocalSeafront Sunday aims to showcase the real authentic taste of Guernsey by championing local flavour and style.

The main activities of Eat Drink & Be Local will be held on The Crown Pier, which will feature The Creation Station activity marquee - an area dedicated for cultural activities for children, alongside two demonstration and live music marquees. There will also be a landscaped garden called 'The Watering Hole' where food and drink enthusiasts can sit and sample the very best locally brewed, distilled and crafted beverages along with an array of food stalls featuring tastes from around the world but made in Guernsey.

Activities for children throughout the Eat Drink & Be Local festival

The art of educating children about the origins, sources and benefits of locally created food and drink products will be a regular feature of each Eat Drink & Be Local with The Creation Station occupying the southern section of the Hammer End of Crown Pier. Children of all ages will be able to learn how to make a homemade pizza, discover the wonders of underwater produce and make and decorate their own Chef's hats to wear at home in the kitchen. They can also create their own Hedge Veg stall – an honesty box of home-grown produce found along the side of many of Guernsey's roads.

Entrance to Eat Drink and Be Local is free. For more information and festival updates, follow Eat Drink & Be Local on Facebook:
