Based around Windsor Gardens and Riverside the Trail features a fictional search for a lost royal engagement ring.
Participants are tasked with solving a set of cunning clues to track down the location of the missing love token.
Lasting around two hours and featuring a circular route of approximately two miles, the new self-guided Treasure Trail incorporates buildings, plaques, signs, statues, monuments, images, engravings and a selection of other unique and quirky features.
In addition to hunting for a lost royal engagement ring, explorers can also turn detective in a second new Treasure Trail involving the mysterious demise of a flamboyant theatre producer.
Based in and around Windsor Town and Parks, the whodunit involves solving clues to eliminate suspects and discover the true culprit.
As well as a fun family challenge, the Trails also include fascinating facts and provide a unique way to explore the town and find out more about its history.
The Trails cost £6.99 (plus P&P if required), are suitable for groups of up to five and, compared to the average family day out at a theme park or visitor attraction, represent amazing value for money.
The two Windsor Treasure Trails are among 14 based in Berkshire and more than 1,200 around the UK.
They can be downloaded from Treasure Trails' website (www.treasuretrails.co.uk) and printed immediately, or sent in the post.
