August is a great month to try out Hertfordshire’s street food fairs and farmers markets in Salisbury Square.

25th and 28th August – brand new street food markets

Hertford's food markets will be serving a mouth-watering assortment of exotic foods, delicious drinks and chill-out music. For the best fresh produce take a trip to Hertford's own farmers market on 13th August. Plenty of yummy freshly baked goods and local fruit and vegetables will be available to purchase.

Explore St Albans Cathedral

Do not miss St Albans Cathedral on your day trip to Herts. It is truly magnificent and located in the centre of Herts.  Visitors can look forward to great photography opportunities. The cathedral itself boasts an interesting mix of architectural styles. It is also worth joining one of the expert FREE guided tours to learn the intriguing history of the building and the many people who are part of it.

This summer young children are invited to join in one of the cathedral's family discovery mornings, or get creative at an arts and craft workshop. Alternatively, why not take your day trip to new heights with one of the cathedral’s tower tours?  Even better, on 13th and 24th August visitors can climb right up the top of the tower and take in awesome views across St Albans!


Harry Potter and the Scary Devil’s Snare at Warner Bros. Studio Tour, London

You cannot beat a visit to The Warner Bros. Studio for true excitement! Now, for the first time, visitors can see a moving display of the Devil's Snare that the magical Harry Potter trio encountered in their hunt for the Philosopher's Stone in Creature Effects.  The display will be fantastic, especially for young visitors.
