Nottingham beach babes
Family fun is in abundance at Nottingham's popular urban seaside event, 'The Deliveroo Beach'. This fabulous theme is a winner over the summer months and runs until 4th September 2016.
Just imagine 250 tonnes of sand, a splash pool for children, stripy deck chairs, seaside rides, delicious food stalls and of course, a beach bar! It is good to see the event is FREE and many activities will be running throughout the summer. Join like-minded souls at live music performances and watch talented entertainers.
What to do?
Visitors can enjoy an exhilarating high-flying 'Around the World' swing ride which boasts fantastic views over the city. Or, alternatively why not try good old traditional seaside arcade games?
Visitors can relax at Highfields Park and hire a row boat on the picturesque boating lake. If you fancy more active pursuits then the National Water Sports Centre is perfect to sample a wide range of water sports including white water rafting, kayaking, and water skiing.
It is worth checking out the beach hut rooms at the Igloo Hybrid Ho[s]tel, located bang in the middle of the city. Double rooms are available with shared bathrooms from just £39 per room.
Even better is a stay in a beach hut booth at George's Great British Kitchen. Without doubt the best fish and chips in Nottingham can be sampled at George’s and if you fancy a tipple fun beach-themed cocktails are also available
Deliveroo Beach takes place in Nottingham City and runs from 10am to 11pm daily.
