The newly restored Brangwyn Hall is the venue for 14 of the 26 events taking place over 15 days (4th to 18th October).  The Festival will begin with a concert from the amazing Philharmonia Orchestra.  It will feature Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E Minor performed by Frank Peter Zimmermann.

Following on from this fabulous opening concert, more talent abounds with The Russian State Philharmonic and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales delighting audiences.

A wonderful opportunity awaits families with the BBC NOW concert series providing the perfect introduction for children to music.  Would-be musicians can try out instruments from the orchestra at 6.15pm, before the concert begins!  Listen out for well-known classics at this event such as Doctor Who, Rossini’s William Tell Overture and Harry Potter to name a few.
