The five star attraction welcomes the new must-see, 360-degree movie, ‘Dinosaurs at Dusk’ to the ShowDome, along with a whole host of dinosaur-themed treats.

‘Dinosaurs at Dusk’ takes the audience on a thrilling journey: paragliding over the countryside and travelling back in time to meet flying pterosaurs. Through the story of teenager Lucy and her father, the audience is immersed in the adventure, not only encountering dinosaurs, but also watching continental drift, dodging asteroids, and witnessing the dinosaurs’ final extinction.

The stunning high-definition animation is strikingly realistic, and screened with surround sound, which provides a fully immersive cinematic experience - unique in Scotland.  Viewers actually feel part of the action, experiencing the sensation of movement and 3D without moving or wearing 3D glasses.

To welcome the new film, a feast of dinosaur activities has been added to the attraction, including a ‘dino-dash’, where youngsters can try to outrun a virtual dinosaur, and an interactive discovery desk, which features fossils, claws, teeth and much more, with regular shows and Q&A sessions.

Dynamic Earth will also be welcoming some new guests to the site, as a selection of lifelike dinosaur models will be on display throughout the attraction, allowing visitors to get an idea of how these wondrous creatures would have looked. The highlight of this model exhibition is sure to be the Jurassic photo-booth, where visitors can get their photo taken amongst a forest backdrop, while a giant Tyrannosaurus Rex bursts through the trees behind them.

On top of all the dinosaur activities, regular Our Dynamic Earth features include Scotland’s only permanent 4D cinema, a real iceberg, a bone-shaking earthquake, and a tropical rainforest.

All of the dinosaur activities and the film are free with admission to Our Dynamic Earth.
