This summer’s hottest attraction – in the most literal sense of the word - is likely to be the first ever Isle of Wight Chilli Fiesta, sponsored by Wightlink Scheduled for the weekend of 27 and 28 July, the event, hosted by Godshill-based House of Chilli, takes place at Smallbrook Stadium on the outskirts of Ryde and will feature the cream of chilli products from across the UK. Specially discounted Wightlink ferry rates are available for the Festival prices at £10 per person for foot passengers travelling on the Portsmouth Harbour-Ryde Pierhead route and £55 for a return car ferry crossing for a car and up to six passengers on the Portsmouth-Fishbourne car ferry route (0871 376 1000 or book online at wightlink.co.uk).
