Spring bank holiday fun for all
Are you seeking fun activities to occupy your children, with time for the adults to chill out this Bank Holiday? Look no further than Groombridge Place, near Tunbridge Wells, where organised children’s fun has been organised, such as bouncy castles, slides, thrilling bungee runs and creative workshops (free with the usual admission ticket). There is even an ‘Enchanted Forest’ for smaller visitors to explore.
A few new arrivals will be waiting to meet you, including the sweet Golden Guernsey kids named Stumpy and Bobby, along with the fascinating little Kunekune piglets. For those wishing to travel on the water, board the boat trip from the pretty gardens to the Enchanted Forest (a small fee applies).
The aptly named ‘Peacock Bistro’ is newly opened and offers scrumptious cream teas, along with tasty lunches, to provide a relaxing pit stop. It is guaranteed that you will hear the splendid peacocks patrolling near the bistro. Adults can also explore the spectacular grounds and roam around the beautifully maintained gardens.
Groombridge Place is open daily between 9.30am and 5.30pm (last admission 4pm) and the bouncy castle, slides, bungee runs and creative workshops will be open from 11am between 4th and 6th May. The shop is comprehensively stocked with a variety of attractive gifts and is always worth a spot of retail therapy.
