Mardi Gras is coming to Mayfair! 17th September 2014
Bring your friends and come, watch, party and enjoy the amazing and famous jazz musicians specially flown in all the way from New Orleans; listen to their music and join the dancing as the Parade makes its way round Shepherd Market on Wednesday, 17th September. It all kicks off at 6.30pm and will wend its way through the Market (lasting half an hour) so make sure you’re there early and in the mood to party.
As well as enjoying the Mardi Gras show, visitors to the Market will also have a chance to enjoy the eclectic mix of boutiques and shops there with many staying open late to host their own Mardi Gras parties with their customers. The local pubs and bars will all be getting in the swing of it together with their regular clientele so why not join the buzz. You could then dine at your leisure in one of the many differently styled restaurants – there’s something for everyone in the Market whether you want just a pizza or French cordon bleu. You really won’t want to miss this exclusive and one off opportunity to enjoy the amazing and renowned Creole themed entertainment which London hasn’t seen before. Robin Birley, the well-known entrepreneur and businessman comments: “For the evening of 17th September we'll bring New Orleans to the streets of Shepherd Market as part of the Club's Mardi Gras Week”.
Full of history and little changed from when it was first developed back in the 18th century, Shepherd Market consists of a maze of little lanes and alleyways and is a charming and enchanting enclave full of an eclectic mix of upmarket boutiques, pubs, bars and restaurants, tucked away between Piccadilly and Park Lane and bordering Curzon Street.
