Hokkaido's Perfect Powder
Super two week holidays are available, combining a stay in the sophisticated city of Sapporo, and offering the opportunity to explore several of the region's key ski areas.
The trips are ideally suited to skiers who have some experience in off-piste and powder snow conditions, or who may wish to take up the challenge of sampling such skiing for the first time. Reassuringly, tour guides will be leading the excursion and have an in-depth knowledge of the ski areas and the surrounding regions.
During the first week, accommodation is in the city of Sapporo. Guests will be taken on daily excursions to a variety of different nearby ski resorts. These are small ski areas well known for their powder snow and are quieter than some of the larger, more commercial resorts.
Once the ski day is over, the second half of the holiday moves to the resort of Rusutsu and also includes a day's skiing in it’s more famous neighbour Niseko. Skiers will experience tree skiing and there will be an opportunity to chill-out in the relaxing hot springs afterwards situated at the resort. Night skiing, a most popular activity in Japan, is also available.
Japan never disappoints and is a fascinating holiday destination, with intriguing culture and warm hospitality, in abundance.
