Premier Inn Hotel Norwich
Having decided to make the journey to the city by train it was great to discover that the hotel is extremely conveniently placed opposite the station, a five minute walk away, and next to the river Wensum. Check-in was an easy process and the helpful reception staff kindly held our luggage as we had arrived a little earlier. They were very knowledgeable about the city and recommended attractions and shopping (it was December!) to us, giving us a local to map to help us on our way.
Following a day taking in the many historic sights and indulging in a little retail therapy we returned to the hotel, where our room was now ready. Premier Inn are of course confident that visitors will have a good night’s sleep in their king size Hypnos bed, and it certainly looked tempting, however, all we wanted was a quick recharge before going to eat. Fortunately, we were able to have a cup of coffee and a hot shower before going to the hotel restaurant for dinner. We enjoyed a delicious meal and were lucky to have seats with a view of the river. There was an extensive menu, certainly enough to make choosing difficult, and of course, exceptionally good value!
As we expected we slept really well, the room was quiet and we were able to control the temperature so we were comfortable. We woke fully refreshed and ready for breakfast. We weren’t disappointed with the wide and unlimited choice of both full English and continental options, after a relaxed meal we checked out. Once again, the reception staff were very helpful and advised us of a very pleasant riverside walk, which certainly helped walk off the breakfast!
