Papua New Guinea uncovered
Steppes Travel is offering an once-in-a-lifetime Papua New Guinea Luxury Cruise with Chris Packham, the much-loved naturalist, nature photographer, author and presenter. The 12-days visit explores the remote islands of Papua New Guinea and will be an awesome experience.
This unique itinerary takes visitors 70 miles up the Sepik River, and as always Steppes Travel will provide a unique trip, and will explore parts of the New Britain coastline that have never been visited before.
Chris Packham is heading up the trip and with his expert knowledge will not only provide fascinating narrative on the journey, but also give interesting talks on board the True North. There will be amazing photography opportunities and Chris will also be available to offer tuition to guests.
Once on land, guests will visit isolated communities and experience their fabulous hospitality. Angoram is much like it was, its life unchanged by the modern world. It has a fascinating waterside market and there will be a chance to see Lake Kambarumba with its unusual stilted village.
Guided by Chris Packham and North Star's naturalists and marine biologists, there will be endless opportunities to see spectacular birds of paradise, fish, turtles and dolphins, as well as an abundance of stunning flora and fauna.
One of the most unique experiences will be venturing into East New Britain which is home to virgin forests and fringing coral reef. Visit a small community near to Tavolo, where 500 people strive to protect the reef, struggling to preserve Papua New Guinea's rich natural history.
There is no doubt that travellers will gain life-long memories on this trip.
Steppes Travel's Papua New Guinea Luxury Cruise with Chris Packham departs in November 2016. This 12-days cruise costs from £10,895 per person based on full-board in a twin cabin, including Private Charter flights and all activities, except helicopter flights.
