Blendworks, a unique blending experience from Eden Mill distillery, has launched at the Macdonald Rusacks Hotel offering discerning gin fans the chance to craft their very own spirit – from selecting botanicals through to bottling and labelling.

Held in a specially designed spirits emporium overlooking the iconic Old Course 18th hole, each three-hour session will see guests become masters of the historically rich, politically charged and sometimes mystical spirit, gin.

Attendees will first be guided through the science and history behind the spirit before exploring different botanicals and flavour profiles in a nosing and tasting session led by an Eden Mill expert.

Blendworks’ Old Course location has already attracted famous faces, with sporting greats Sir Ian Botham, Fraser Brown, Jonny Gray and Stuart Hogg attending an exclusive preview event.

Blendworks is the latest experiential offering from Eden Mill, with plans in place to extend the experience to whisky blending creation later in the year, in a nod to the distillery’s recently launched Art of the Blend range – which celebrates the exciting and interesting flavours that stem from experimentation.

The Blendworks gin experience will run twice daily, with early and late afternoon sessions, and costs £95 per person including a gift pack with three 20cl bottles of the gin, bespoke Blendworks glasses and a certificate. Guests will also enjoy three cocktails during the session with two of them being crafted from their own recipe.

Those interested are invited to book their session via the recently re-launched Eden Mill website: www.edenmill.com/blendworks
