Brighton is a vibrant setting for any festival during the summer season. This year the  Funk The Family and Funk The Format festivals cater for all ages. Both festivals take place during England’s largest exciting arts festival, Brighton Fringe.

Following two spectacular sell-out festivals, Funk The Family is back with a bigger, better line-up and second adults-only day; Funk The Format.

Like Funk The Family, the brand new Funk The Format Festival is a celebration of soul, Latin, funk, reggae, disco, hip hop, house, jungle, jazz and, of course, funk! The second day focuses on good vibes, great music and fun times.

Funk The Format line-up:

Soul II Soul, Norman Jay MBE, Nubiyan Twist, Normanton Street, J-Felix and Lebeaux.

CluLINE-UP:

Rodney P & Skitz, Jamie Rodigan, Robert Luis, Mr Bongo Soundsystem, Stick It On, Russ Dewbury, Soul Casserole, Odyssey and Steve Seck.

More to tempt visitors!

Participants can visit the Cirque Du Funk Big Top of Oddities, sample mouth-watering local food and enjoy a tipple at one of the many drink stalls, purchase gifts from craft stalls and chill-out in one of two fully licensed bars.

Meanwhile, Funk The Family announces its “Creatures of the Beach” theme with Vula (the voice of Basement Jaxx) and The Atlantic Horns, DJ Format, Harleigh Blu, King Porter Stomp.  More brilliant entertainment includes The Circus Project’s trapeze workshops, archery, family yoga, diabolo workshops, Cirque Du Funk big top, Punch & Judy shows, cool break dancing and lots more.
