This year’s festival will explore the Islands famous maritime history and naval traditions. It will be a fascinating experience.

In total, 55 events and activities, 42 guided walks, 4 cycling tours, 2 coach tours, 3 boat tours and 11 exhibitions will allow plenty of choice for visitors over the duration of the festival. Also, planned is The Victor Hugo in Guernsey Festival which runs alongside the Heritage Festival from 2nd to 10th April. It commemorates the 150th anniversary of Victor Hugo's intruiging novel, Toilers of the Sea.

In total 8-days of Hugo-themed events will take place delving into how the Channel Islands inspired the writer's life and works. Why not partake in Hugo's Banquet des Enfants - a six course lunch at Guernsey Inner Market Buildings which copies the meals given by kind Victor Hugo to poor children at his home? Also, visitors can join a tour of Hauteville House which was Hugo’s stunning abode.
