Listening to your favourite bands whilst on holiday takes some beating! The locals are friendly and the regional food is delicious, allowing visitors to experience the area’s culture.

Scotland is home to many fantastic music festivals and there is something for everybody.

Skye Live

Skye Live boasts a varied mix of more than 30 Scottish folk music and cutting edge dance, and electronica acts, coupled with a stunning island location.

Visitors can take their pick from Simian Mobile Disco, Capercaillie, Bicep, Jackmaster and Mercury Music Prize nominee C Duncan, who will headline the acts at this fun 2-days event.

Also on the agenda is a daredevil display of skills which will thrill visitors (the famous jaw-dropping movie, The Ridge, gives an idea of what to expect at the display!). Of course, well-known local stunt cyclist Danny MacAskill has been invited to the festival and will be doing awesome street trials stunts.

Getting there:

It is good to see great public transport connections to Skye making life easy for visitors and for those travelling by air, direct flights to Inverness are very reasonably priced from most UK airports.
