Located within an impressive 120 acres there are loads of fun activities planned.  Dad’s can try out their conker skills in the Father’s Day Triathlon Challenge, for starters. There are fantastic prizes on offer for winning participants. More energetic excursions are also available, such as go-cart racing, canoeing and bike riding to let off steam!

Why not visit the Arts & Crafts woodland cottage hideaway in The National Forest at Ulverscroft? Families can enjoy playing games including bowls, table tennis and chill out afterwards with a picnic. Delicious refreshments are available from the Laundry Tearoom for those requiring sustenance. Please note, pre-booking required for this small, but perfectly formed National Trust property.

Some Dad’s prefer the great outdoors and using their creative skills.  A fantastic day out awaits them at Greenwood Days woods, near Melbourne. The setting is ideal for escaping from daily life, while having fun learning traditional crafts. Dad’s can use hand tools and a foot-powered (pole) lathe to create a garden dibber, honey drizzler, candlestick, or other small item.

All of the family can join in with the activities and gain some hands-on experience alongside their Dad. At lunchtime, all of the family can partake in yummy pizzas which they have created, and cooked in the wood-fired oven.

It is worth visiting Greenwood Days at any time of the year.  The setting is vast with over a hundred acres of woodland to be explored. The woodland trails and picnic areas are perfect for summer fun.
