The Spy Kids event is always a hit with young visitors and there is a fantastic line-up of activities planned at ‘Secret Island’.

The Royal Gunpowder Mills is open daily from Saturday 23rd May to  Sunday 31st May.  It will be an ideal opportunity for would-be spies and secret (double!) agents to hone their detective skills with a selection of furtive operations and especial secret missions.

An opportunity to test code-breaking skills will be available and Professor Nitrate will be in his Mad Lab carrying out top secret work! Special activities include the night vision bomb disposal challenge, testing speed and agility on the assault course and complete super sleuth training in the Mad Lab.

The Spy Kids training camp will be open at the test range where spies-in-training will be launching, catapulting, shooting and firing a variety of air and rail rockets, cannons and air soft rifles in their very own test range trials.

In addition, spies will get to visit the Rocket Vault to see the rockets worked on when the Royal Gunpowder Mills was a top-secret government research facility.  The Royal Gunpowder Mills is set in 170 acres of natural parkland and has a fascinating secret history within exciting science and attractive surroundings.  It provides an interesting  family day-out.
