Forest fun with The Forestry Commission's Stick Man Trails

Wrap up warm and explore The Forestry Commission’s Stick Man Trail at 13 venues across England this winter.  Families will love exploring the forest and following the route while learning why trees and wood are so important to us. Children can enjoy hunting for mysterious clues, writing imaginative poems, building exciting dens, drawing pictures and creating a Stick Man character to take back home.

Interestingly, a recent Forestry Commission survey* discovered that 90% of parents believe children are losing their imaginations by the age of ten. The survey of 2,000 parents of school children also found that nearly three quarters think that today’s children play outdoors less than they did when young, and half (51%) feel sure this has an impact on children’s imaginations.

Exploring the great outdoors is a sure way to stimulate your child’s imagination and at only £1 per trail pack, this fun event is affordable for all.
