The winding path is 1.9 kilometres long and leads through a flat winter landscape with low bushes, small hills and most important- no light pollutions. You can enjoy the starry sky and the dancing northern lights with the magnificent Lyngen Alps as a backdrop and total silence in beautiful surroundings.

The trail is well marked with reflective stripes and ends up in a small, typical Norwegian cabin, which is open for everyone. There is a fireplace, seating and a terrace with an awesome view over the fjord, the dramatic mountains and of course, the sky. The locals frequently use this unique trail and the area is safe. If you are lucky, you can even spot a moose on your way down! Just bring a flashlight, warm clothes, sturdy hiking shoes and bundles of enthusiasm. Welcome to the northern light trail in Lyngseidet!
