If you are seeking half term children’s events which are all about ‘the animals’, then you ought to visit Battersea Park Children’s Zoo.  This is a gem of a zoo which you can find along the Chelsea Embankment.  There are a wonderful variety of creatures, including Asian Short-Clawed Otters, Cotton-top Tamarins, Cockatiels, Peach-faced Lovebirds, Box Turtles and Leopard Gecko’s to name just a few!

A taste of the events planned this autumn include Hedgehog Day (29th October) where children can meet a hedgehog rescuer and a cute hedgehog.  There will also be hedgehog arts and crafts available, along with delightful storytelling. Try the Halloween Fun Day (31st October) where children can take part in scary face painting sessions, or create their own funky design on a trick or treat bag to take home. Please note that some sessions may need pre-booking and a small charge is applicable for the Halloween Fun Day activities – check the Zoo’s website for further details and information on the other events planned.

Do take time to browse the Zoo’s website which also provides a gallery of fascinating facts and photographs about its amazing residents.  A visit to Battersea Park Children’s Zoo will be well worth a visit over the holidays.
