Florence and Venice are particularly inspiring for visitors.  The specialists Painting in Italy is offering one-week courses in Venice (late September) and Florence (late November).

The next Venice course taking place during the week of 27th September is an ideal time of year to book a painting holiday.  The temperature is more agreeable and the influx of tourists has mostly departed the city. Guests are collected from the airport and taken by private water taxi to tranquil Lido.

Renowned for his wonderful Venice paintings, Lakeside Society artist Phil Hobbs, will take guests to his favourite painting locations in Venice each morning to paint.  This will be a delightful experience.  The week includes a 7-days Vaporetta pass and 7-days entrance ticket to the local museums and churches.

If Florence ignites your creative fire then why not try the one-week course from 29th November?  Florence is magical during the lead-up to the Christmas season, with decorative lighting adorning the city streets and a fabulous market in Santa Croce.

Alongside options in painting and sculpture tuition, there will also be a tour of The Vasari Corridor in the Uffizi.  Visitors can learn about the art of Florentine paper marbling and attend a lecture at The British Institute on ‘The Role of the Artist in Renaissance Florence’.

Of course, experiencing Italy’s mouth watering cuisine is a given and guests will be dining as a group each evening at the tutors' favourite restaurants.

The price of the package is from £1599 and includes tutoring, accommodation, excursions, and evening meals with wine in different restaurants.  Flights are not included, but can be arranged for guests if needed.

It is also worth noting that the Sunday Times named Painting in Italy as one of the ‘Top 100 Best Holidays for 2015’.
